Greenfield's New Interchange

The road leading to Santa Rosa is no longer slow and busy with the recent opening of the ABI-Greenfield Interchange in Malitlit town.

The 10-kilometer circumferential road provides light and safe passage to what is seen as the burgeoning economic zone in South of Manila. It proved a most convenient alternate route for residents, employees and transients.

Just one of the two mapped out infrastructure projects within this part, the ABI-Greenfield Interchange is seen to create lucrative opportunities to benefit residential, business and commercial communities here.

This infrastructure project spearheaded by Greenfield Development Corporation (GDC) and Asia Brewery, Inc. (ABI), in cooperation with the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) and Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC), is likely to spur growth as it offers easy mobility of commodities, services and workers.

Even property developments are deemed promising. Greenfield City, one of GDC’s anchor projects in Laguna, is raring to take on the important changes the new interchange brings to its core undertakings.

According to Duane Santos, GDC vice-president, "More than accessibility, it opens up our market to nearby town and municipalities."

With the expected influx of people from all parts of Laguna, Paseo de Santa Rosa, its retail/commercial component, will be opening new branded factory outlets for value-added shopping."

Says Santos, "We had excellent response for our existing outlets and we want to maintain that by offering new brands at heavily discounted prices throughout the whole year."

Twelve new bars and restaurants are also seen to create bigger excitement to the frequented venue for quality dining and entertainment.

Santos added that Paseo de Santa Rosa will be a great take off point for an intended shopping mall across dubbed as Laguna Central, "This of course, will cater to a different market. Paseo de Santa Rosa has its distinct charm that many patrons came to love. Those wanting to enjoy a relaxing outdoor lifestyle can go to Paseo de Santa Rosa. Others more attuned to a typical mall environment may opt for Laguna Central."

For Greenfield Automall, Santos said GDC is closing in on several dealers and retailers of automotive spare parts and accessories, "We have a standing invitation to select industry players and the response thus far has been very promising."
