Campos-led Greenfield eyes 'future-ready' developments

Campos-led developer Greenfield Development Corp. is seeking to do more projects on its own instead of its usual partnership with other property company.

Jeffrey Campos, Greenfield Development Corp. president and chairman, said the company is seeking to launch and start the development of five projects within the next 18 months.

Greenfield is re-launching and re-branding its corporate strategy with the introduction of a technology plan among its projects, which aims to ensure "unparalleled connectivity in the areas it develops."

The company is set to use copper wire or fiber optic technology to its Twin Oaks project, to be located in the more than10-hectare Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City, which promises to provide unit buyers with a "fully wired environment."

Campos revealed that the technology will allow customers to "open their home locks and security systems thru their phones, adjust their airconditioning units thru their office computers... and access their home systems remotely from anywhere in the world."

This technology, called FTTB or Fiber to the Building, will be used for residential and commercial developments in the District project.

"We are currently working with a world leader in networking solutions to help us starting with Greenfield District and Twin Oaks Place. We will be providing a digital backbone for Twin Oaks Place which will allow greater 'connectivity' for its residents. We are making Greenfield District and Twin Oaks Place 'future ready' – meaning the basic digital infrastructure to allow our customers the opportunity to integrate and use future equipment in their homes," the company said.

Campos also disclosed that property giant Ayala Land Inc. has approached Greenfield for a possible partnership for the District Project, particularly for the residential and commercial components.

"But the partnership we want is in the office and BPO (business process outsourcing). Residential and commercial is our baby. We want to do it," Campos added.

ALI has partnered with Greenfield for the development of Fort Bonifacio into one of Metro Manila's key business, leisure and commercial districts. Greenfield has also forged alliance with Century Properties Group and Fil-Estate Land Inc. for some of its projects.

Besides the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong, other projects by the company will be the Greenfield City Sta. Rosa, Greenfield Regional Center in Calamba, Greenfield Campus Communities in Biñan and Greenfield Hillsborough in Alabang.
