Cisco, a provider of networking solutions that transform how people connect, communicate and collaborate, has announced that the company is going to enter a partnership with Greenfield Development Corporation, a diversified real estate company from the Philippines to build connected communities by integrating smart building and internet technologies within Twin Oaks Place, the Greenfield District along Shaw Boulevard.

Known as the first future-ready residential tower in the Philippines, the Twin Oaks Place is a project that will reinvent the face of urban landscape and redefine cosmopolitan living in the modern times. The project is a 43-story condominium development sprawling upon an area measuring 2,599 square meters, and will be developed by Greenfield Development Corp., which is a well known property developer in Philippines. It will offer a range of enhanced technological capabilities to the users, including remote-controlled entry and climate control, to built-in web servers & video-conferencing capabilities, and a line-up of optional home appliances that can be fully customized by the residents as they see fit.

Both the organizations are going to pioneer the Smart+Connected Communities initiative that will help in building social, economic and environmentally sustainable cities of the future, a part of the first Cisco Smart+Connected Real Estate engagement in the Philippines. The project will also include a future-ready Internet Protocol based building infrastructure that will turn it into a 'Connected Home' project in Philippines.

Previously, the Greenfield Development Corp. had announced that it will deploy fiber-optic technology into its upcoming real estate projects located within the 10.5-hectare Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City for offering high-speed Internet access to residential and commercial units. The organization has partnered with globally well known names in the fields of urban planning and development to build a modern and intelligent 'Central Business District' in Mandaluyong and Sta.Rosa, Laguna, which are considered to be among the most advanced residential complexes in the world.

Smart+Connected Communities by Cisco is a global initiative that leverages the network as the platform for integrated city management so that citizens can avail enhanced quality of life. The initiative aims at deploying the network as a platform for transforming communities, cities and countries and drive overall sustainability, spanning across economic, social and environmental sectors. It plans to integrate a wide portfolio of company's products, services, partners and solutions for providing intelligent, sustainable solutions for public safety and security, transportation, buildings, utilities, healthcare and education.

Earlier this month, Aviatur announced that it has implemented a Cisco Unified Communications solution in its communications platform, hoping the step will help it in controlling its telephony expenses.
