Greenfield Development Corporation, one of the most diversified and established property developers in the country, is taking its aggressive expansion program on higher gear as it starts laying the groundwork for its flagship urban renewal project – the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong. Greenfield, which boasts of some of the most innovative projects in the industrial, commercial, residential, recreational and infrastructure sectors, is redeveloping an 11-hectare property straddling EDSA and Shaw Boulevard into a smart and connected satellite city, with a vast network of mixed-use commercial and retail buildings, open spaces and residential communities. This urban redevelopment effort is not only turning the site— a congested section of Mandaluyong —into a modern sanctuary with green open space reclaiming almost half of the complex, it also provides advanced communication and network infrastructure for the entire district, ensuring the utmost convenience and connectivity for its residents and workers. “The Greenfield District is geared to remake this part of the metropolis into the first smart and connected city in the country. Built on twin foundations of technologically-advanced infrastructure and environmentally-aware planning, the Greenfield District aims to provide the cosmopolitan culture and convenience of modern living,” shares Greenfield Development Corporation president and chairman of the board Jeffrey Campos. Founded in 1971, Armed with still significant land holdings around the country and a steady base of resources, A pioneering project, Greenfield District will have both state-of-the-art buildings and generous open spaces, all of which will provide the convenience and comfort of a thoroughly modern lifestyle without the congestion that plagues most urban locations. To conform to its smart and connected blueprint, the company has reserved up to 40% of the entire property for open spaces, featuring green areas, pocket parks, and tree-lined roads and walkways. The whole site itself will be pedestrian-friendly with the help of its interconnected, above-ground walkways, and it will also be easier for vehicles to navigate with a secondary interconnected below-ground road network. In addition to the groundwork laid for its transport hub and retail components, the construction is well underway for the pilot project of the district -- Twin Oaks Place, a primarily residential condominium with three floors dedicated to commercial uses and two floors for amenities. These include efforts to expand further the rapidly-growing BPO offices, adding to the prestigious names in the roster of tenants which already include Teleperformance, IBM Daksh, and OSRP / PC Mall.
